Me and My Mini
A 45 minute creative movement group for ages birth through 2.5 with a grown-up. Group is focused on adult and baby spending quality time together, fostering attachment, and baby interacting with others their age. Get groovy to upbeat music with props, instruments, and a story. Adult participation is required and 1-2 children per adult is recommended.
This group has been seen at the Charlton Public Library, Jacob Edwards Library, and is coming to the Gladys E Kelly Library in Webster on Thursdays at 10am in September!
Also available weekly during the school year on Tuesdays at 5:00pm at Rising Stars School of Dance in Chicopee, MA and Fridays at 9:00am at The Complex in Danielson, CT
Let's Dance a Story
Where movement, music, and stories comes together! Children will explore dance and movement that is inspired by the words in a story book. This group will learn how to help the brain and the body work together, discover new vocabulary words, and foster a love of books with full body learning. The ideal age for this class is either 2.5 through 4 or 5 through 7. This 45 minute group is where Katelyn and kiddos work together to bring a story to life!
This group has been seen at your central MA libraries at the Gladys E Kelly Library, Jacob Edwards Library, and coming montly starting October 15th at 10am to the Charlton Public Library
Let's Get Inspired
This group can be tailored to age groups 8 and up! This group uses a source of inspiration such as music, a special topic, or skills such as confidence, friendships, etc. to explore movement and free expression. Topic can be discovered during the group or be pre-set. Age group suggestions include 8-10, 10-13, 14-15, and 16 and up. Group runs 1 hour.
Movement and Memory
Movement and dance based group tailored to the older adult in nursing home settings or adult day health. Group will use reminiscence and improvisation to explore personal strengths, reduce isolation, increase expression, and foster social interaction. Utilizes older era music, fun props, and interactive enrichment activites. Can be customized to provide support for folks managing neurocognitive decline, dementia, and other aging needs. This group supports autonomy, dignity, and respect. All body abilities, mobility devices, Blind, Deaf/HOH, and AAC devices are welcome. Runs 1 hour at your program.
